2000:

  • Royal inauguration of Casablanca Technopark.

2001:

  • Official opening of Casablanca Technopark in the presence of the Prime Minister, and creation of MITC (Moroccan Information Technopark Company) as the company managing Technopark.

2002:

  • Hosting of 56 companies.
  • Change in the Board.

2004:

Creation of a business“incubator” with support from Infodev (World Bank).

2006:

A new business plan for Technopark is put in place.

2008

  • Departure of Abderrafie Hanouf and arrival of Omar Balafrej.
  • A new strategy is drawn up for Technopark.
  • Casablanca city is given a seat on the Board of Directors.
  • Establishment of the first survey into satisfaction.

2009

  • EAC-L’Boulvart sets up in the basement of Casablanca Technopark, and Boultek is also set up. (EAC stands for Education Artistique et Culturelle). L’Boulvart and Boultek are plays on words: approximately, Street Art; Street Tech.)
  • Creation of ASTEC, the Association of Technopark Companies.

2010

  • Creation of MITC as a shareholder alongside Attijariwafa Bank, Banque Centrale Populaire, the Caisse de Depot et de Gestion, and BMCE Bank.
  • Redevelopment of Boultek’s premises; Boultek becomes the premier centre for contemporary music in Morocco.

2011

  • Technopark’s ecosystem enhanced:
  • With a subsidiary of MITC, CMI (Moroccan Centre for Innovation) to manage the innovation support fund.
  • Through APEBI moving into Technopark, along with REM and MNC.

2012

  • Opening of Rabat Technopark.
  • AFEM moves in to Technopark.

2013

  • Technopark gets ISO 9001 certification.
  • Election of the new ASTEC bureau.
  • Inauguration of a Pilot Photovoltaic Power Generation Station at Casablanca Technopark.
  • Signing of the agreement to create the Tangiers Technopark.
